In 2023, I collaborated with digital designer Olga Celikoglu on a series of motion pieces based on her collection of beautifully detailed isometric cities. For this project, I had the privilege of bringing her Istanbul illustration to life through animation.
Translating a 3D-style isometric drawing into motion without using 3D tools was a creative challenge. Every element had to be carefully separated, layered, and animated in After Effects to preserve the depth and lighting of the original artwork. The result is a seamless transition between day and night — a detailed, atmospheric loop that captures the rhythm and charm of the city.
